I made a Venn diagram that compares unicorns, Satan, and Your Mom. Because it had to be done.
And hey, if you want it on a T-shirt, I can oblige.

Drawing with a Wacom Tablet
I forgot to post this! It's been hanging out as a draft since 2011. Enjoy!
Drawing digital art in Photoshop using a Wacom tablet takes practice. First you have to calibrate your pen settings, then you have to learn how to draw all over again. And then you have to learn how to use Photoshop. It is so hard to get smooth lines! But practice makes perfect, right? So I'm practicing...
I made this drawing of my husband's Night Elf Druid character in the World of Warcraft. It started out as a pencil sketch, then I scanned it into my laptop, hooked up my Wacom tablet and started inking, digitally.
Then I started coloring... yeah. I'm no Mike Krahulik, that's for sure. But I think it still looks kinda cool.
If you recall my previous post about sketching, this was the pencil sketch I started with.

Waking the Dragon
I've been practicing my tablet drawing!
To create this picture I sketched it in pencil on paper first. Then I scanned it into my netbook, hooked up my Wacom tablet, downloaded GIMP and started inking over my pencil sketch. Note: You have to change the pen sensitivity from "opacity" to "size" in the GIMP drawing pen settings.

Getting Ready for the Deathy Hallows II
In celebration for the final Harry Potter movie, I have made more Movie Poster Mosaics, using tiles from the previous movies. (cough ok just the first 5 movies). Being a techy I wrote my own program that resizes pictures and does math calculations of 9 points in each tile to match that section of the picture to replace. A little intense but makes awesome mosaics You can click on the photos to go to the DeviantArt page to see the picture in full scale by clicking on the photos again.

Little Mermaid Graphic
I've found some Deviant artwork that was quite intriguing because instead of shading their pieces they used textures to give their art depth. As I continue to practice my vector skills I wanted to give this texturing a try.
I started by creating my piece in vector graphics using Microsoft Expressions. Then adding the textures in Adobe Photoshop.
I think it turned out quite well. I also love those transition pieces in which you can see the artist's step by step in making their creations. So I tried to make one. Although because my history only saved a small number of steps I had to cheat for the earlier steps. :p It still looks cool though.

A Wee Unicorn
Here's a little drawing I made.
I started with a pencil sketch, scanned it into my computer, and then inked and colored it digitally using my Wacom tablet.
Here is the original pencil sketch on a scrap of paper.

Eye of Writing
Made in the 3D design software Rhino back in highschool. I did need to use a tutorial to figure out how to do it. I can't believe how much of a real eye structure it neededd instead of just some curved object. I needs to make a full socket and everything. But it's def worth the effort.
I used a bunch of text as the texture for the pupils.

Ava's Avatars
There's this web comic (you might have heard of it?) called Order of the Stick. "OOTS" has a large following, complete with online forums where fans love to make their own avatars in OOTS style, which is easily identifiable by large round heads, stick-figure limbs, and different-sized black dots for eyes.
Of course I had to try my hand at making some custom avatars... primarily using MS Paint, a readily-available "Accessories" program on any Windows PC.
Some of these are based on well-known characters, some are original made-up characters and things or characters I created on request for forum avatars...
