Cosplay Puffy Pants

My friend (the one in the Wartortle outfit in the picture below) asked me.  How did you get/keep your pants to puffy.  

 Time for some cosplay magic! Well first you need to start with some Hammer Pants.  The pant legs aren't straight, nor flared. Instead it's pretty much a silly bubble.

Oh look? some left over tulle, several yards in fact.  Wrap several layers into a loose circle and tie it off with (oh look some leftover) ribbon.  

Next slip in one of these bundles in each pant leg/sleeve.  What's great is tulle and ribbon is completely machine washable, and completely squish-able into boxes for storage.  Or repack-able into plushie stuffing for future projects.

2012 Pax - Day One

Serah from Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Riven from League of Legends.  We found a great backdrop and the crowds were missing so we took advantage of getting of a few good shots.

League of Legends tournaments were a big deal at PAX this year.  The grand prize is $150,000.  That's a lot.  They had live commentators, and crowds so big they were sitting on the floor.  It was like the superbowl!

The set up at the different game company booths were quite different but very flashy.

Cosplay is a growing thing at PAX and some people were very creative with their characters.

Sacred 3 had a cool setup, so I decided to take a little creepy photo with the throne.

The Storm Troopers are getting down with Dance Central 3 before it is released.

The Pokemon tournament is a cool idea, where 8 Pokemon Gym Leaders are walking around the con, and you can challenge them at any time with a White/Black Pokemon game.   You can spot them with their green scarves.

Even some of the local eateries were using gaming topics to encourage people to come by

Best character acting:  Sorry this doesn't work as well without a video.  But this Beattlejuice had the perfect voice and walking style as he creeps around.

Hottest girl.  Yes she's hot because she's Sriracha Hot Sauce!

Awesomeness:  Um I'm getting tired, pretend there's a category for this

Awesome non cosplay outfit:  She may not be cosplaying, but she totally fits into the scene with all the anime and video game characters running around.  I love that dress, I would wear it normally.

Best Makeup:  Chi ther persacon (computer in the form of a human) had streaks of white makeup to mimic the reflection of her plastic skin.  I was impressed

Me:  I thought I would throw in a picture of (1/7) of my cosplays so people knew who was voting.
